This session will help community partners, responders, and planners understand the dynamics of feeding infants in emergency responses and build upon the lessons learned in recent responses. Infant Feeding in Emergencies Basic training includes the basics of infant feeding in emergencies, identifying additional infant feeding responders for just-in-time training, shelter considerations, and supply needs. This Train the Trainer course will also build the capacity for participants to teach others the basics of infant feeding in emergencies. This training is appropriate emergency planners, shelter staff/volunteers, infant feeding professionals including WIC staff, home visitors and public health workers.
